Vedo te e scopro un mondo illuminato da due soli,
Un cielo turchese senza nuvole, come sposa senza veli,
Nei cui occhi azzurri si perde il mio cuore
Che ritrova sé stesso, il suo palpito migliore,
Come se in loro, nel loro riflesso, io fossi più io,
Come se nel coro, non nell’assolo, si celasse Dio.
Vedo te e vedo l’aquila che si libra tra cime innevate
E si riscopre nella sua ombra, che tra le rocce, nelle vallate,
Veleggia scolpita dai venti, più grande e più maestosa
Dell’aquila stessa, come se quell’effige silenziosa,
Planando tra i canti placati degli altri animali,
Parlasse di lei più dei suoi artigli e delle sue ali.
Vedo te e vedo l’onda in cui si specchiano le stelle
Che, danzando al respiro del mare, sembrano ancora più belle.
La loro luce ha solcato solitaria l’universo intero
Per raggiungere i flutti e scoprire, nel riverbero, il suo volto più vero.
Il sole è più sole, riflesso nei tuoi occhi,
I battiti del mio cuore, al tuo fianco, si fanno rintocchi,
Il mio sorriso, quando incontra il tuo, diventa più intenso,
Perché è nella tua vita che la mia vita ha un senso.
Sei per me, da sempre, il dono più prezioso:
Per questo ti amo e per questo ti sposo.
